Computer Labs & Use of ICT

  • The Computer Science department has two separate laboratories for students and teachers.
  • The students' laboratory has 64 computers with LAN and also has fiber optic Internet connectivity.
  • Computer Department consists English Language Laboratory where 10 students can learn at a time. The software of Language Lab is updated time to time.
  • The teachers' laboratory has 25 computers with LAN and Internet facility.
  • The Computer department has inverters which give back up for 8 hours.
  • Other accessories include earphones, scanner, printer, CCTV. The department has LCD projector for teaching purpose.
  • The department provides free of cost service regarding registration for admission, online applications for various jobs.
  • The students of other streams seek basic computer knowledge in this department.
  • The department conducts basic computer training workshops for teaching and non-teaching staff every year.The department provides Wi-Fi connectivity for staff and students.

USE OF ICT FOR TEACHING-LEARNING

  • LCD projectors are used for teaching purpose. Science laboratories have portable LCD projectors. All faculty use PPTs for 30% to 40% teaching process.
  • Smartboard facility is available in Media Hall cum Smart Class-room.
  • Students are connected with Mentor Groups through Whatsapp. Additional study material like e-books, videos, links are provided to students and counseling facility is provided through Mentor Groups.
  • Teacher use audio-video clips as additional support material.
  • The college has own Online Teaching Mobile Application 'VPC Edu' which is downloaded by students from Play Store. The application is used for online teaching. 
  • E-library facility is available for faculty and students. Faculty & students can browse INFLIBNET freely.
  • All departments have PCs/Laptops with Internet Connectivity.
  • Faculty regularly upload teaching videos on College Youtube Channel.
  • Communication and propagation is also held through Facebook page of the college.
  • Students can seek benefit of Computer Assisted Learning as per their convenience.
